Finish Line Farm was a dream that became a reality in November 2003 when Pattey and Mike Herron acquired this lovely and storied property from its original owners, John & Jeannette Bowers. The Herrons kept the agricultural purpose alive and turned long forgotten cow pastures into a thriving horse property.
Finish Line Farm boasts a traditional two story Amish barn (complete with heated washstall and tackroom) to accommodate the Herron horses and was to have been an especially comfortable retirement home for their beloved racehorse, Chestnut Voyage, who passed away in 2004 before construction was complete.
Happily, four retired Thoroughbreds and a tiny Shetland pony now enjoy acres of bluegrass pasture, on site trails, an Olympic arena, and a 25-acre cross country course. Life is complete with two rescued German Shepherds who stand guard over their equine family.
